Dosage
In Absprache mit Ihrem Arzt, abhängig von dem Stadium der Behandlung, wird das Arzneimittel in der Regel folgendermaßen dosiert:

Wie wirkt der Inhaltsstoff des Arzneimittels?

Der Wirkstoff Flavoxat wirkt krampflösend auf die glatte Muskulatur des Urogenitaltrakts. Flavoxat verbessert die Symptome der überaktiven Blase einschließlich der Häufigkeit des Wasserlassens, der Blasenkapazität und der Häufigkeit und Schwere des Harndrangs.

- Magen-Darm-Verschluss
- Darmverschluss
- Blutungen im Magen-Darm-Bereich (schwarz verfärbter Stuhl)
- Erhöhte Anspannung der Speiseröhrenmuskulatur
- Schwierigkeiten beim Wasserlassen
- Grüner Star (Glaukom)
- Myastenia gravis

Welche Altersgruppe ist zu beachten?
- Kinder unter 12 Jahren: Das Arzneimittel darf nicht angewendet werden.

Was ist mit Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit?
- Schwangerschaft: Das Arzneimittel sollte nach derzeitigen Erkenntnissen nicht angewendet werden.
- Stillzeit: Von einer Anwendung wird nach derzeitigen Erkenntnissen abgeraten. Eventuell ist ein Abstillen in Erwägung zu ziehen.

Ist Ihnen das Arzneimittel trotz einer Gegenanzeige verordnet worden, sprechen Sie mit Ihrem Arzt oder Apotheker. Der therapeutische Nutzen kann höher sein, als das Risiko, das die Anwendung bei einer Gegenanzeige in sich birgt.
