Welcome to our arzneiprivat blog.
Our blog team consists of Andrea, Ines and me. I am Ingo.
From self-employment, the first online shop, to the perfect work-life balance with a campervan.
The first question that you as a reader might ask yourself: why is the shop now called drug-private?
Quite simply - we are essentially a normal, medium-sized small town pharmacy.
A few (now many) years ago, my daughter had just had a swimming course, in a conversation with a co-father, I discussed the advantages and disadvantages of an online pharmacy shop. Open questions such as which platform, storage and prices were researched and put into practice in the coming days. The first platform was created and the name was just set with arzneiprivat. In essence, we wanted to remain the customer-oriented, personal and almost private pharmacy, also online, just supplemented with a shipping offer.
Over the years we have translated the shop into other languages due to the strong demand from other countries. We have also got new employees from Poland and Romania.
Even now we are a normal pharmacy with the focus on making our customers happy personally and quickly. Friendliness in the staff and fun at work and a good working atmosphere are very important to me personally, combined with the wish that this can also be found in customer contact.
I've been self-employed for just over 20 years. With everything that goes with it.
It's all very labor-intensive and - it's always there-. When I'm free or at night. Once the thought is there, I won't let go of it that quickly. Especially at night it helps me to get up briefly. I try to collect myself and write everything down on a short notepad so that I don't have to worry about not being able to call it up the next morning. Paper is particularly important to me here, not on the cell phone. Having the thing in your hand is a time killer. In short, I don't think much of sleeping pills myself. If the thoughts are a bit overloaded, a valerian remedy such as Alluna will help. Valerian has a mood-balancing effect, hops slightly stimulate sleep.
Much more important is a balance, a healthy work-life balance. A great name.
In addition to the family, sports such as running, road cycling and kite surfing are very important to me.
For better mobility I got myself a Volkswagen T5 bus, or more precisely a Caravelle, and converted it into a campervan.
Even if it doesn't have that much in common with a mail-order pharmacy, I'll introduce you to it now. Medicinal private is a pharmacy that you can “touch”.
So, the basis is a t5 Caravelle with a long wheelbase, normal steel rims and all-season tires. Color white, plus the black van corners under the taillights. Since I wanted to do something myself, but don't have all winter time, the Caravelle was quite right for me as a base. It has Webasto additional heating, lighting and heating controls in the passenger compartment. So there is no need for action.
In the interior there were 2 rows of seats, the first, behind the driver's seat, consists of 2 parts and the 2nd row of seats is continuous. A double bench seat is installed on the passenger side.
To expand it, I removed all the rows of seats at the back. You can make the base plate yourself. There are many videos on you tube about this. I ordered the base plate and gave me all the dimensions, vehicle data and photos. Unfortunately, it didn't quite fit. I had to touch up 1 hour before it fit.
In order to be able to lay the floor covering, I placed the plate a little higher on boxes and placed the PVC floor on it with double-sided adhesive tape and glued it. I could then easily cut off the protruding edge with the cutter knife. The hollows of the seat in the first row have not been cut out. Only the 2nd row of seats came back into the vehicle.
The kitchen should consist of an old converted Ikea Kallax shelf. The baskets are fixed with magnetic snaps. In addition, a small table with a mounting rail is now being made.
Let's get to the bed: It consists of a shelf combined with a second shelf which is placed over the folded bench. This is fixed to the bench from behind with a cable.
Since I wanted to do without a swiveling passenger bench for the time being, an elongated seat box (from Lidl) helped. We use the box as a wardrobe.
Since the bench can be folded forward, I made a suitable beam that simply fixes the back of the bench at a suitable angle of inclination. Works great and costs next to nothing.
am very happy with the solution.
The first trip should start in October. Autumn kiting on the Baltic Sea, Boltenhagen, Wohlberger Wiek. North East 5-6, 12 degrees and rain reported. So it's perfect weather for testing everything.
I ran the power cable inside through the window ventilation grille. A small heater warmed up our bus nicely.
In summary: it was great - I'm in bus fever.
And all of this is a great balance so that we can always be there for you highly motivated in the years to come.
If you have any questions about the expansion of the bus, you are welcome to send us an email.
And no, we won't bombard you with advertising afterwards.
Until then, stay healthy - stay safe -
Ingo
