Vitamin B12 is a vitamin that is important for the energy balance of the nervous system, memory, cell division and blood formation. Vitamin B12 is abundant in many foods from different food groups. Cyanocobalamin (B12)

In the body, it is converted into the more effective coenzymes methyl- and adenosylcobalamin, which helps the body absorb it better. It has an excellent depot effect and is therefore very sustainable (better than all other B12 vitamins). Hydroxocobalamin is the first drug of choice for high-dose initial therapy. It is used for detoxification in case of smoke poisoning and can also be taken as a supplement to quitting smoking (the nitrosative stress is reduced).
